Prerequisites
Before you start, ensure that you have the following:
- A Twilio account
- A Twilio phone number
- Access to Twilio Studio
Steps
- Log in to your Twilio account and go to the Twilio Studio Console.
- Click on the “Create new flow” button. Name your flow and click “Next”.
- On the next New Flow screen select “Create from Scratch” then click “Next”.
- Select the “Say/Play” widget from the widget library on the right and drag it underneath the Trigger widget that’s on the screen.
- Click on “Say/Play” to open its configuration panel. Rename your widget (optional) and in the “Text to Say” field, type in the message you want to play when someone calls your Twilio number. Click “Save” on the widget.
- Click any blank space on the Studio canvas to (or the small left arrow next to “Say/Play” on the widget) to go back to the widget library.
- Select “Connect Call To” from the left-hand panel, and drag the widget underneath the “Say/Play” widget.
- Click on “Connect Call To” to open its configuration panel. In the “To” field, enter the phone number you want the call to be connected to (like your cell phone) the greeting message is played. Click “Save” on the widget.
